In 1993, a music concert was organized by the students of Sri Samar Saha, a disciple of Pandit Krishna Kumar Ganguly(Natu Babu).

This function was graced by Natu Babu though he was in very frail health. Seeing the devotion and commitment of
Sri Samar Saha and his students during the concert, Natu Babu christened the organization SANGEET PIYASI.

But soon he passed away on 3rd of July, 1993. In 1994 on 20th August, SANGEET PIYASI organised its first whole

night concert in memory of Late Krishna Kumar Ganguly (Natu Babu) at Rabindra Sadan , Kolkata.

Soon after Pandit Kishan Maharaj blessed Sangeet Piyasi by designing the LOGO.
Thus with the grace of two great Pandits Sangeet Piyasi began its journey.
